The Benefits of Diowave
High Dose Laser Therapy
in your practice
The Diowave platform of lasers can deliver considerably more therapeutic laser energy than all other Class III and IV therapy lasers available on today’s current market.
The optimal single wavelength of 980nm is used for maximum penetration, with choice of operating modes from continuous wave (CW); single pulse and pulsed modes. Penetration is paramount in order to stimulate deep musculoskeletal, vascular, lymphatic, and neurological structures.
More power combined with the correct wavelength equates to deeper penetration, faster treatment times and delivery of the proper therapeutic dosage, an enhanced ability to treat difficult conditions, and ultimately better clinical.
High Dose Laser Therapy
Common Small Animal and Equine Clinical Applications
• Arthritis, Degenerative Joint Disease
• Tendon Suspensory and Ligament Disorders
• Back and Muscle Soreness
• Disc and Neurologic pathologies
How Does HDLT Work?
Laser light causes vasodilation, and activates the lymphatic drainage system (drains swollen areas). As a result, there is a reduction in swelling caused by bruising or inflammation and less pressure on pain receptors.
Laser light facilitates better transmission of nerve impulses through the stimulation of neurotransmitter cells, reducing and eliminating pain through more effective function of tissue surrounding peripheral nerves and by temporarily suppressing pain receptors.
Increased Nerve Regeneration and Function
Slow recovery of nerve functions in damaged tissue can result in numbness and impaired limbs. Laser light will speed up the process of nerve cell reconnection and increase the amplitude of action potentials to optimize muscle action.
Improved Vascular Activity
Laser light will significantly increase blood flow to injured tissue as well as the formation of new capillary growth.
Accelerated Tissue Repair and Cell Growth
Photons of light from lasers penetrate deeply into tissue and accelerate cellular reproduction and tissue regeneration and growth. Laser light also activates stem cells in the treatment area. This leads to faster wound healing with minimal scar tissue.
Trigger Point Resolution and Acupuncture Stimulation
Laser therapy stimulates muscle trigger points and acupuncture points on a non-invasive basis providing musculoskeletal pain relief.
The Best Profit Center For Your Practice
TREAT MORE PATIENTS
Faster therapy treatment times and surgical procedures results in the ability to treat more conditions and more patients.
Training and Education is a part of every laser purchase. This training may be provided via printed items, online (web-based) or onsite at your practice. Continuing Education is available for additional training for specific laser applications and procedures. Custom Training for 1/2 day or 1 day sessions is available for a separate fee. These sessions are provided by experienced clinicians with hands-on training focus.
Veterinary Technicians and other staff can be trained and certified to administer the laser therapy treatments. No special facility build outs or other equipment are needed.

Laser Surgery with Diode Lasers
Diode laser energy can be applied superficially, as well as in open and endoscopic surgery. Thin flexible fibers deliver required amounts of energy into the body in a minimally-invasive technique. Both cutting and coagulation are performed in a single step reducing bleeding, less pain, faster healing and quicker recovery.
Clinical Benefits of Diode Laser Surgery
The Diowave™ Laser seals nerve endings as it cuts through tissue; this reduces the amount of pain the patient feels during and after surgery.
The Diowave™ Laser cauterizes and seals small blood vessels as it cuts; this laser energy achieves hemostasis and provides the surgeon with a bloodless surgical field in most procedures.
An Alternative to Traditional Surgery
Laser surgery CAN ENHANCE RECOVERY times by reducing swelling, lessening the chance of infection, reducing pain, and preventing blood loss.
Laser Therapy Works Wonders for Pets With Arthritis
“For middle aged to older pets, arthritis is an unfortunately common ailment. With animals, it is always difficult to discern exactly what is ailing them. If your pet is limping, having difficulty moving, sleeping an unusual amount, and irregularly irritable, there is a good chance your pet is experiencing arthritic symptoms.
The last thing we want is for our beloved pets to experience discomfort. Particularly in the tail end of your pet's life, you want them to feel as relaxed and happy as possible. Recent innovations in medical laser therapy have made it possible for animals to experience relief from arthritic symptoms.
Veterinary laser therapy is a noninvasive procedure that can provide your cat or dog with relief from arthritic symptoms in a relatively short amount of time. In fact, after receiving laser therapy for pain management, most pets exhibit signs of relief and increased mobility within 12-24 hours. The procedure is also relatively fast, taking 10-20 minutes per session.
Medical lasers function based on a process known as photo-biotherapy. This process stimulates and encourages the synthesizing of proteins, as well as cell metabolism. The veterinary lasers' effectiveness is generally contingent upon the power of the dosage, as well as the amount of doses given with the medical lasers. For the maximal benefit, it is recommended that pets receive 3-10 veterinary laser therapy treatments.
This medical treatment is not only extremely effective for dogs and cats. For humans that are experiencing chronic pain, medical lasers and laser therapy are also a common and noninvasive method employed for pain relief. For a human, laser therapy is most effective when given in a series of 8 to 30 treatments. The amount of treatments, laser power, and duration usually depend on the severity of pain.
Veterinary laser therapy is a viable and effective option in helping to relieve your pet's arthritic symptoms. However, if your animal has cancer, it is not recommended that you employ this therapy method, as the heat from laser therapy devices are known to stimulate cancer cells.”
