J-Ray Therapy and Surgery Laser System

"Since adding the Class 4 laser therapy to our practice, we have seen an increase in the number of pets that were previously on pain medications be able to discontinue those or decrease the dosage. This has been a tremendous help with hot spots, lick granulomas, ear infections and other skin conditions that were just being "maintained" previously. We use this machine to treat something every day that we see pets, from post-op therapy to longer maintenance it has added an undeniable benefit to our practice. We have even had a few clients come to us because we now offer this service. I am very pleased with the results of using this therapy. The results we have observed from this machine is proof enough that the Jay Ray class 4 laser therapy truly performs as was explained and we are excited to continue to grow our practice with this option available for clients."

J-Ray High Dose Laser Therapy System

DOSE

When you combine more power with the correct wavelengths you get deeper penetration, faster treatment times and the ideal therapeutic dosage, so you can  treat difficult conditions, and get better clinical results.

POWER

The J-Ray lasers can deliver considerably more therapeutic laser energy than all other Class II and III therapy lasers available on today’s current market. The J-Ray Lasers were engineered to produce the optimal power and protocols for Veterinary Clinics and Mobile Practices. Energy does equal penetration!

WAVELENGTHS

The optimal therapeutic wavelength of 810 nm & 980nm are used for maximum penetration and efficacy, with choice of operating modes from continuous wave (CW); single pulse & pulsed modes.

Biological Effects of High Dose Laser Therapy

Accelerated Tissue Repair And Cell Growth – accelerate cellular reproduction and growth. Cells of cartilage, bone, tendons, ligaments and muscles are repaired faster as a result of exposure to laser light.

Reduced Fibrous Tissue Formation – Laser therapy reduces the formation of scar tissue following tissue damage and acute and chronic inflammatory processes.

Anti-Inflammation – Laser light therapy has an anti-inflammatory effect, causes vasodilation and activation of the lymphatic drainage system, reducing swelling caused by biomechanical stress, trauma, overuse, or systemic conditions.

Analgesia – Laser therapy has a beneficial effect on pain through the suppression of nerve signal transmission over unmyelinated c-fibers that transmit pain to the brain. Another pain blocking mechanism involves the production of high levels of pain killing chemicals such as endorphins and enkephalins from the brain and adrenal gland.

Improved Vascular Activity – Laser light will significantly increase the formation of new capillaries (angiogenesis) in damaged tissue that will speed up the healing process.

Increased Metabolic Activity – Laser therapy creates higher outputs of specific enzymes

Improved Nerve Function – accelerates the process of nerve cell regeneration and increases the amplitude of action potentials

Immunoregulation – stimulation of immunoglobulins and lymphocytes

Stimulates Trigger Points and Acupuncture Points – stimulates muscle trigger points, restoration of muscular tonus and balance

J-Ray Laser System with Surgery Kit

Laser Surgery with the J-Ray

Diode laser energy can be applied superficially, as well as in open and endoscopic surgery. Thin flexible fibers deliver required amounts of energy into the body in a minimally-invasive technique. Both cutting and coagulation are performed in a single step reducing bleeding, less pain, faster healing and quicker recovery.

Our veterinarians have used the J-Ray Laser System in surgery with amazing results!  Using the proper techniques for diode laser surgery, the delivery of laser energy can be enhanced by conditioning or charring the tip of the fiber. The tip of the fiber is charred by activating the laser with the tip of the fiber in contact with a sterilized tongue depressor that has been marked with a black permanent marker. This results in the tip of the fiber being coated with a thin layer of carbon.

Clinical Use Of A 15-W Diode Laser In Small Animal Surgery Results In 30 Varied Procedures

By Dr. Dennis T. Crowe, Jr., Dr. David Swalander, Dr. Donald Hittenmiller, Dr. Jenifer Newton

The use of a 15-watt diode laser in 30 surgical procedures in dogs and cats was reviewed. Ease of use, operator safety, hemostasis control, wound healing, surgical time, complication rate, and pain control were observed and recorded. Procedures performed were partial pancreatectomy, nasal carcinoma ablation, medial meniscus channeling, perianal and anorectal mass removal (5), hemangioma and hemangiopericytoma removal from two legs, benign skin mass removal (7), liver lobectomy, partial prostatectomy, soft palate resection, partial arytenoidectomy, partial ablation of a thyroid carcinoma, photovaporization of the turnor bed following malignant turnor resection (4), neurosheath turnor removal from the tongue, tail sebaceous cyst resection, malignant mammary turnor and mast cell turnor removal. The laser was found to be very simple and safe to use.  Click here to download the paper!

Frequently Asked Questions

PRICING VS COMPETITORS

Q:  How is your company able to build and sell 15 and 30 watt Class IV Veterinary lasers for less than half of what the other companies charge?  Most of them are in the $20,000 – $37,000 range.

A:  We have searched for the best laser manufacturer available anywhere.  We worked with them hand-in-hand to design the J-Ray to not only make it the BEST laser, but the best veterinary laser at ANY price!

Additionally, we do not make the outlandish profits many other laser companies do; keeping more money in YOUR pocket.

J-Ray Therapy Laser In ActionPERFORMANCE VS COMPETITORS

Q:  Does J-Ray perform as well as other lasers that cost more?

A:  Absolutely.  Many of the more expensive laser –  and we’re talking thousands and thousands of dollars more –  don’t offer the power available from J-Ray; nor do they provide the diverse and usable software and features.  J-Ray will perform just as well, or outperform, many lasers that cost $10,000+ more.

ADJUSTMENT CAPABILITIES

Q: Many of the lower-priced and lower-powered lasers offer minimum adjustment capabilities.  What does J-Ray offer?

A: A lower price like J-Ray does not always mean lower capabilities. J-Ray provides the the ability to adjust time, pulse width/duty cycle, power, chronicity, wound care, and much more.  Everything is done with a simple press of the touchscreen.

SURGICAL CAPABILITIES
